The Monk who Sold his Ferrari

I have had the most terrible time getting into books these days. I tried to get into why French women don't get Fat or whatever it is called. Then I tried to get into the Memory Keeper's Daughter. Neither of them "got me". But tonight I found a book that lit my reading fire...THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERRARI. It is a fable about fulfilling your dreams and reaching your destiny. I began reading it in my bi weekly epsom salt bath and I continued reading it until the bath was almost cold! So far so good. I am so glad to be able to find a book that has rekindled my joy for reading...
AMAZON.COM said the following:Everyone loves a good fable, and this is certainly one. The protagonist is Julian Mantle, a high-profile attorney with a whacked-out schedule and a shameful set of spiritual priorities. Of course it takes a crisis (heart attack) to give Mantle pause. And pause he does--suddenly selling all his beloved possessions to trek India in pursuit of a meaningful existence. The Himalayan gurus along the way give simple advice, such as, "What lies behind you and what lies before you is nothing compared to what lies within you." Yet it is easy to forgive the story's simplicity because each kernel of wisdom is framed to address the persistent angst of Western white-collar professionals.-Gail Hudson

I cannot wait to keep reading!
